As the calendar has turned to January, it is time to update the 2021 Fantasy Baseball Rankings. With so little movement on the MLB Hot Stove, the rankings will not have a ton of significant changes, but there are some. Updates will continue as more activity occurs via trade or free agency. Let’s take a look at the updated outfield rankings.

First things first, the outfield rankings have expanded from 80 to a TOP 100!!!!! Too many players left off the list (still are more) to finally expand the list. Some of the key additions were Adam Eaton after signing with the White Sox, Mitch Haniger with the positive health news, and many more. Let’s talk about a few of the changes on the TOP 100 list.

Eaton has some nice upside for now when it comes to fantasy. He is projected to hit second for a very explosive White Sox lineup. The runs should be aplenty, and steals should be available as well. If Eaton stays healthy and sticks atop the batting order, he could be in for a very nice season as a five-category contributor.

Haniger has been a fantasy problem in recent years as many are reeled back in just to see him never get healthy and not produce for your fantasy team. I left him off the initial rankings until the latest reports that he is healthy, training, and ready for the start of spring training. This is excellent news, but still news worth keeping an eye on. If Haniger does stay healthy, he is a very strong fantasy asset, and those that took the chance on him in early drafts should get a healthy return.

I added Yasiel Puig to the list, breaking my rule of no free agents, but it is hard to ignore. When it comes to Puig, it is tough to believe he will be out again this season. Teams need outfield help, and there are not many better free agents out there for Puig. He brings 20 homers and 20 stolen base upside to any team. He’s risky since we do not know where he will play, but the juice should be worth the squeeze where he is currently being drafted.

There were many more additions to the Top 100, and there will be more changes as more signings, trades, and news comes out. For now, here you go with the brand new TOP 100!!!!
