Not much to say about last weekend’s total shitshow. On to UFC Vegas 6…

Chalk (9k and above)

Kevin Holland $9400 – Holland was supposed to fight last week, well he has an easier matchup here, but buyer beware, the guy makes some questionable decisions. This is a steep price for Holland, so I wouldn’t be all in here. Holland should roll but man $9400 is a stiff price.

Beneil Dariush $9100 – I like the way Dariush has turned the corner since his loss to Alexander Hernandez. His striking has improved a lot in the past two years and we all know who the better grappler is. Dariush is on an impressive run and I don’t see Scott Holtzman disrupting it by any means.

Mid-Tier (8.9k-8k)

Chris Weidman $8000 – I will admit that I’ve always been a fan of Weidman. I think this is the perfect fight for him. Weidman is not fighting a top 10 or top 5 guys for once, and I believe this is an extremely winnable fight. He has way more paths to victory than Akhmedov, and I don’t think he’ll be highly owned due to his recent performances. Weidman will get back in the win column on Saturday.

After weigh-ins, I’ll be 50-50 on Weidman-Akhmedov. I don’t like the way Weidman looks at all, hate to say it.

Dogs (7.9k and below)

Andrew Sanchez $7700 – Sanchez is the better striker here, and if it goes to the mat, Sanchez can hold his own. I just think the wrong guy is favored here, Turman is below average on the feet he’s below average and for a BJJ black belt I don’t think he’s that high level. I just think Sanchez is the better guy.

Maki Pitolo $7600 – Pitolo shocked many with his knockout win over Charles Byrd. It’s pretty apparent that 185 is a good weight for him; he just was cutting too much when fighting at 170. I don’t like the form that Stewart is in especially after his Cage Warriors performance. I think Stewart is getting knocked out here.

Julija Stoliarenko $7400  Stoliarenko is getting another shot in the UFC after losing on the TUF finale in 2018. Since leaving the UFC, she has won 5 in a row, 4 of those victories via submission via armbar in the 1st round. The competition may not have been the greatest but it’s noteworthy. Something just tells me Stoliarenko could wreck a lot of moneyline parlays. Sorry but Yana Kunitskaya shouldn’t be a -220 favorite over anyone. I’m not going to have a lot of Stoliarenko but I’ll have her in one or two.

Others to consider

Justin Jaynes $7800 – Jaynes has a lot of power and his boxing is pretty solid, I’m just not sold on Gavin Tucker.

Best of luck and enjoy the fights!
