Rony Barcelos $9100 – I honestly think Barcelos should be the highest priced fighter on the card. He is a legit finisher with good striking and a solid Jiu-Jitsu game. This fight is a huge step up for Taha, and while I think he can hang standing, he will struggle mightily on the ground. Barcelos will take it there, and it’ll be a wrap.

Brendan Allen $8400 – Many feel that this fight is a toss-up, but I think that Allen is the better all-around fighter. Don’t get me wrong; I like Heinisch as a fighter, but he hasn’t shown much of an improvement in his previous fights. Allen, on the other hand, has improved with each contest. His grappling is outstanding, and his striking has progressed as well. That can be attributed to his move to Roufusport. For this fight, however, he trained at Sanford MMA, where Derek Brunson also trains, and you might remember Brunson had his way with Heinisch. I like Allen here and wouldn’t be surprised if he gets a finish.

Glover Teixeira $7400 – Teixeira is on a nice little run here, and he takes on Thiago Santos, who is returning to the octagon for the first time since tearing his ACL against Jon Jones. One thing I have always respected about Glover is his durability and recovery. Santos has a path here, and that’s early. The longer this fight goes, the better it is for Glover. If Teixeira can get this fight to the ground, it will be a long night for Santos, and Santos doesn’t have the best takedown defense. Glover’s Jiu-Jitsu game is excellent, but his top control and pressure are outstanding. I won’t be all-in on Glover, but I will have a fair amount of lineups with him.

Other fighters to consider

Tanner Boser $8900 – Boser is on a nice run, and the speed advantage he will have over Arlovski will be significant.

Eduardo Garragorri $7500 – I think Garagorri is a live dog against a guy that has taken so much damage over his career he wears it on his chest.

Alexander Romanov $9000 – I don’t think he’ll score 147 this time around, but he has an excellent chance of finishing Rogerio de Lima.

Best of luck this weekend, and enjoy the fights!
