The UFC heads to the state of New Mexico this weekend, as Corey Anderson and Jan Blachowicz run it back for a second time in the main event. The winner could get the next shot at Jon Jones’ light-heavyweight title. There are some pretty good fights on this card but I’ll have limited lineups this weekend as I don’t feel it’s a great card from a DFS perspective. It should be a fun one, so lets take a look at some fighters to target.
Macy Chiasson $9300 – Back in September I had Macy in quite a few lineups and she just flat out didn’t deliver. I’m hoping people have a good memory and steer clear of Macy here. I think she smashes Shanna Young, and should score well. I won’t have a lot of exposure but I’ll have a good bit of ownership. Honestly Macy is the only fighter I like above 9k. I could make a case for Means at $9100, but I’ll pass on Clark and the newcomer Brok Weaver.
Corey Anderson $8900 – Corey has looked really solid in his last few bouts, and when he fought Blachowicz back in Spetember of 2015, we was pretty dominant. I think we see the same thing here as I think this a better version of Anderson. Also keep in mind this is a 5 round fight, so those takedowns will add up. He’ll score 100+ here and is one of the safer plays on the card in my opinion.
Dvalishvili/Kenney – I think this is gonna be one of the better fights of the night. Dvalishvili is going to be the bigger guy and will be looking for takedowns, but Kenney’s boxing and scrambling ability will make this pretty competitive. The winner in this one will score extremely well in my opinion.
Rogerio Bonterin $7900 – Well Ray Borg missed weight to the surprise of noone. Look, I get it, he’s had a tough few years, but at some point your professionalism has to show and Borg has missed weight way too much. Regardless of the weight miss, I like Bontorin a lot here, and the fact that Borg is back down at flyweight I think Bontorin’s power and cardio will be the difference. Borg has considered retirement a few times in the past year or so, that is a fighter you want to go against. I say it many times, you want to back a dog that will fight for your money, Bonterin is that guy.
Others to ConsiderMichel Pereira $8500 – If Pereira doesn’t fuck around like he did last time he could get a quick finish. It’s a risk at $8500, because you just never know the shit he pulls. I’ll have him in a lineup or two.
