Hope everyone did well last Saturday night. Didn’t do as well as I had hope but my god the dogs were barking, especially on the main card. I would be remised if I didn’t mention the dominantperformance turned in by Max Holloway, unbelievable. We have a card Wednesday morning at 9 am est, so the people on the west coast have to be up somewhat at the ass crack of dawn. I don’t have too much time to get in depth with this card but here’s a little cheat sheet if you choose to put a few lineups together for some morning action. I did forget to mention but I’m sure you all saw the scoring changes, so keep that in mind going forward. No points for advances, points for control time, etc. So make sure you check that out if you haven’t.

Chalk

I’m mainly looking at 2 guys, Ricky Simon and LeroneMurphy. Simon should score well with takedowns and his opponent is making his UFC debut. I don’t see the potential of an upset here and I think Simone should roll. He will be super popular so if you want to go elsewhere I don’t blame you. Lerone Murphy is a guy I am pretty high on and provided his opponent is on the magma I think Lerone can get a stoppage here. Douglas Silva Andrade is getting up there in age and is going to be the smaller guy stepping up to featherweight. I really think Murphy can impress here.

Mid-Tier

Tyson Nam $8300 – Nam is the much superior striker against a guy in Matt Schnell that has an extremely questionable chin. Schnell is going to try to get this to the ground but I think Nam can keep it on the feet. I think Nam can get a 1st or 2nd round kohere. Dalcha Lungiambula ($8600) is also worth a look.

Dog

Michael Chiesa $7900 – I really like what I’ve seen from Chiesa at 170. The UFC vet doesn’t have cut that weight anymore and he just looks incredible as a welterweight. He just looks stronger and his last outing against Rafael dos Anjos and his constant pressure I think is just bad news for Neil Magny. Magny is a good grappler in his own right but I think Chiesa is a real problem at welterweight. I wouldn’t be shocked if Chiesa takes his back and ends it in the 1st round, but I think the grappling and strength of Chiesa is going to be the difference.

Zarrukh Adashev ($6900) is also worth a stab in a lineup or two. Yes he’s coming off a 1st round knockout loss, but Su Madaerji shouldn’t be this big of a favorite in my opinion.

That’s it for this Wedneday, enjoy the fights and we’ll be back to preview UFC 257 later this week! Best of luck with your lineups.
