The UFC will hold its 4th event in 2 weeks on fight Island as middleweights Robert Whittaker and Darren Till clash in the main event for UFC on Fight Island 3, or UFC Fight Night 174, or UFC on ESPN 14, whatever the hell you want to call it. There are 15 fights on the card, so there should be a lot of options on the card. Let’s get to it.

Chalk

Khamzat Chimaev $9800 – It shouldn’t be a surprise that he’s the highest priced fighter on the card. He should dominate as he did two weeks ago, but keep in mind he’s dropping to 170, as to where he was 185 for his last fight. He came through last time around and should do the same here. He’ll be in a few lineups but his steep price doesn’t have me all in.

Mid-Tier

Tom Aspinall $8800 –  Not many know about Aspinall, but he’s a training partner of Darren Till. Aspinall is 7-2 and his only real loss was a submission loss via heel hook back in 2015, the other was for illegal downward elbows. There’s a lot of hype around this guy, he hits like a truck and his Jiu-Jitsu is underrated. His opponent Jake Collier had some weight cutting issues, which makes Aspinall a better pick for me. Aspinall should dominate here and get an early finish.

50/50

Darren Till / Robert Whittaker – I’m favoring Till here but I will have some lineups with Whittaker. It’s not just the fact that he’s taken too much damage in his past three fights, I just think Whittaker’s striking defense has holes and I do believe Till will catch him with that left. Whittaker could surprise, but I like Till in this spot. He’s the bigger guy and that reach advantage will show.

Craig/Antigulov – This fight will not last long, I’ll have either guy in quite a few lineups, and both are priced decent (8k,8.2k). I doubt this lasts past the first round. It’ll be a wild one.

Dog

Peter Sobotta $7500 – I feel like this is a nice price for Sobotta, who I think matches up very well with Cowboy Oliveira. Sobotta is well rounded and his ground game could really give Oliveira fits. Oliveira has taken a lot of damage over the last few fights and has some major cardio concerns, I think Sobotta can get a late stoppage here and I’ll take him here at this price point.

Other fighters I’m looking at…Mosvar Evloev $9100 – I will have some of Evloev because I think Grundy is a popular dog and Evloev’s price tag is pretty high. Grundy has the wrestling background I get it, but Evloev is a better chain-wrestler, and I think his skill set is a big problem for Grundy. Evloev is just the stronger guy and the more refined mixed martial artist. I’ll have him in a few lineups.
