Well I was wrong about UFC Vancouver, it delivered. Turned out to be a really entertaining card. Last week? There was a reason I didn’t put out anything. What a turd of an event and the aftermath of the main event was nauseating. I’m hoping the UFC thinks twice about returning there, just my take. We have a real nice card this Saturday as the UFC heads to Copenhagen, Denmark. The main event features two potential title challengers in the middleweight division as Jared Cannonier takes on Jack Hermansson. There are quite a few interesting fights on the card, so let’s take a look at the salaries.

Mark Madsen $9500 – Madsen could really have his way with Belluardo, he’s a former Olympic sliver medalist from Denmark and he brings an intensity that is hard to match. Madsen should score really well with takedowns and advances, but I won’t be all-in due to the fact there will be those octagon jitters.

Macy Chiasson $9400 – We were on Macy in her last outing and she did not disappoint scoring 110.5 fpts. Lina Lansberg came up big in her last fight upending Tonya Evinger via decision. Chiasson is better everywhere here and should put Lansberg away within the first two rounds. I fully expect Macy to pay off that $9400 salary.

Michal Oleksiejuk $9100 – I really don’t know what the ownership will be on Oleksiejuk, but I’ll have him in some lineups. He is so technical on the feet that he could really overwhelm OSP. OSP will be looking to get this to the ground I’m sure, because if it stays standing it could be a short night.

Alex Oliveira $8800 – I think Nicholas Dalby will be a popular underdog here, so it puts me on Oliveira. I know that Oliveira has been in some wars the past two fights, but let’s be honest folks. Alex Oliveira is the better guy here. Dalby was already cut once from the UFC, and he’s been can crushing in Cage Warriors. This is a really tough test making a return to the octagon. I think Oliveira can get it done here inside the distance.

Khalil Rountree $8400 – Rountree has made improvements and it was on full display against Eryk Anders. His opponent Ion Cutelaba is getting a lot of love, and I really don’t see why. Maybe I’m wrong but I just think Rountree is the more technical striker by far. The more technical guy often comes out on top over the brawler.

Split Ownership

Burns/Nelson – I’m a fan of both of these guys and I think the inner will score well here with takedowns, advances, reversals, etc. Both fighters have solid power too so who knows how this one plays out. One of the better fights on the card in my opinion.

Jared Cannonier $7000 – I can’t believe Cannonier is close to a +200 underdog on the betting line…I understand hermansson has been on a run, but take a closer look at his last 4 wins. Thales Leites was on the tail end of his career. Gerald Meerschart is somewhat a one-dimensional fighter, David Branch is pretty much a fighter that looks for a way out, and Jacare Souza is in the twilight of his career and didn’t have the cardio to go 5 rounds in my opinion. Since his move to middleweight Cannonier has been a wrecking ball, and is the more athletic and quicker guy. I think Cannonier is being overlooked in this fight and I think he wins via KO/TKO. Cannonier is a HUGE middleweight and his power might be the best in the division.
