UFC 267 and in the books and it sure as hell delivered. It was chalk city as dogs weren’t barking going 2-11 on the card. We move on to UFC 268 with two titles on the line, and both are rematches. It should be an entertaining card; let’s take a look at some fighters to target.

Chalk

Melsik Baghdasaryan $9200 – My first choice at a fighter above 9k is Baghdasaryan for the simple fact that the dude is a finisher. He doesn’t have a lot of experience in the UFC, but this guy is the far superior striker from what I see. He was impressive in his contender series win; he didn’t get the stoppage, but in his UFC debut, he got the finish. I expect the Armenian to come out first, putting a lot of pressure in the 1st round and eventually getting a finish. I think of all the fighters on this card that are capable of getting a 1st round stoppage; it’s this guy.

Others on my radar: Ian Garry

Mid-Tier

Justin Gaethje $8900 – Gaethje has five wins in the UFC, none inside the distance. Chandler is the better wrestler, but not significantly better. As far as when the fight is on the feet, it’s Gaethje, and it’s not even close. He’s so technical, and I can see Chandler trying to end this early, coming in a little wild and getting countered. However, within the first 3 minutes, Gaethje’s leg kicks will make it challenging for Chandler. All respect to Chandler. I think he’s a great fighter, but Gaethje is just too technical, and his striking is just too much to handle. Gaethje ends this in the late 1st round or mid-2nd round.

Rose Namajunas $8200 – The odds have gone back and forth, and right now Rose is the underdog at around +100. I don’t get it, so I guess the oddmakers and the betting public think first fight was a fluke? Ok, so Rose knocks out Joanna and in the rematch, she won a 5 round unanimous decision. I’m not overthinking this, Rose is the better technical striker, and she’s hugelyextremely crafty on the ground. I’ve heard the whole story about Zhang training at fight ready and all that but be aware that she’s only been there for 6 or 7 weeks, not a full camp. Rose is the better fighter and has multiple paths to victory.
