The biggest pay-per-view of the year is finally here, as UFC 245 takes place from the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. 3 title fights and a stellar card top to bottom. Let’s take a look at some of the fighters I am targeting…
Geoff Neal $9000 – Mike Perry has taken a lot of damage in his last two fights, and personally I would have waited a little longer to take another fight. 4 months after the beating he suffered at the hands of Vicente Luque and now he gets Geoff Neal? Ok then, give me Neal all day.
Ketlan Vieira $8800 – I don’t foresee Vieira being too popular, and it does concern me she’s coming back from a long layoff, but I think she is going to maul Irene Aldana. Vieira has a lot of nice throws in her arsenal, and I think she can get Aldana down to the mat and control her there. Vieira is the real deal, and I think she gets a finish.
Covington/Usman – I will definitely be split on this fight. Colby pushes a pace that noone can match, and no matter how much you hate the guy he’s really good. I think this is a split decision either way.
Alexander Volkanovski $7500 – It’s hard to go against the greatest featherweight in UFC history, but I think Volkanovski is a bad matchup for Max. He’s shorter yet has a longer reach, and can really put the pressure on. Max took a lot of damage in that fight against Poirier, and while he was in no danger against Edgar, it will be a factor in this one.
Others I’m targeting…
Germaine de Randamie $7000 – Yes Amanda beat GDR 6 years ago, but GDR has re ally worked on here takedown defense. If GDR keeps this on the feet she can win this fight.
Punahele Soriano $8200 – It’s hard to not like the matchup here, Soriano should do some work on Piechota.
Chase Hooper $8300 – I feel like this fight is setup to showcase the 20-year-old. Teymur has the fight IQ of a doorknob and if Hooper gets this to the mat it’s a wrap.
