UFC 237 is on tap this weekend from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil available on ESPN+ pay-per-view. The main event is for the women’s strawweight title as ‘Thug’ Rose Namajunas takes on Jessica Andrade. There a few legendary names on this card, and as always use extreme caution when playing DFS (or betting on fights) in Brazil. You never know sometimes. I don’t have a lot of time so I’ll make it short and sweet.

Chalk

Rony Barcelos $9600 – Highest priced fighter on the card, and he’s going against Peruvian Carlos Huachin as Said Nurmagomadov had to withdraw. Bottom line Barcelos is far and away the better fighter and can end this via TKO or submission.

Clay Guida $9500 – A few years ago who would have thought Clay Guida would be $9500 on DK? Well here we are going against the ghost of BJ Penn. Guida should score high here but I won’t have a lot of him in my lineups.

Carlos Diego Ferreira $9000 – Pretty steep price going against a durable guy like trinaldo. If it hits the mat this is CDF’s fight to lose as the skill gap is wide. I could see a finish happening and with takedowns and advances CDF could score well. I won’t have a lot of exposure but I’ll have him in some lineups for sure.

Mid-Tier

Ryan Spann $8800 – Spann has the toughest test of his career, and while fighting a Nogueira in Brazil is extremely risky, Spann is the quicker stronger guy, and his jiu-jitsu is not that bad either. If this gfight was in the states I’d be all over Spann here. I think he gets the job done here but just be careful.

Split Ownership

Aldo/Volkanowski – By far my favorite fight on the card. I’ll have more Volkanowski, but Aldo is worth the price of $8200 as well . The winner will score highly here.

Namajunas/Andrade – I favor Rose in this matchup, but I’ll have some of Andrade as well. Andrade hits like a truck and if she tags Rose with a clean hook it could be over. Rose has more paths to victory in my opinion. Like Aldo and Volkanowski, the winner will score a lot.

Underdogs

Anderson Silva $7600 – I think some are putting a little too much stock into Cannonier’s win over David Branch. Silva is in his home country and will have success against Cannonier. Don’t get me Cannonier has the power to end it early, but Silva still has a lot left in the tank, even at 44 years of age. If it goes to the cards it’s the Spider’s fight.

Sergio Moraes $7600 – All Sergio has to do to get this to the mat and it’s his fight to lose. Warley Alves cardio is questionable, so I expect Moraes to make him work and try to gas him out. Warley has some power but Moraes has a pretty good chin. At this price I have to take a guy that’s an outstanding Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu practitioner.
