Two out of Three Rubies made the cut. On Saturday, it sure looked like Percy was going to contend and then a string of bogeys dropped him down the board. @ rubies that made the cut both finished in a T21 position. That I would say is reaching value for that field. Cook bogeyed the easiest hole on the course on Friday to miss the cut by 1.

Ruby #1 Matthew Nesmith ($6900)– Nesmith has been en fuego with the irons lately. Last three tournaments, he has gained 6.6, 4.5, and 5.6 strokes on approach. His T2G game has been just as stellar. He has positive ARG splits in the last three as well. All in all, he is playing fantastic golf previous three tournaments and has just 1 top 10 to show for it. He is close, and with a shortened field this week, I believe he could sneak back into the top 10 again this week. In my overall model, he ranks 8th last 24 rounds, 20 last 12, 4th last eight, and 7th last 4. I think he is underpriced for the way he has been playing. He has just been better than a lot of the guys around him.

Ruby #2: Vaughn Taylor ($6700)– Vaughn was a ruby last week, so it is weird to have back-to-back ruby appearances, but here we are. We got it right last week, so here is hoping for the same outcome this week. Vaughn does not pop off on my model in any significant way but coming off an excellent performance at Pebble and headed back to a place he has fared well before gives me hope. Pebble was the first tournament in the last three; he was positive in SG metrics in T2G and approach. In his previous three appearances at Genesis, he is 13th, 9th, and 20th. We would take the 20th place for his price this week.

Ruby #3 Wes Bryan ($6100)– Wes seems to be a stat darling, and he has failed us before in this spot. In the last 24 rounds and sooner, his lowest ranking in my model is 68th. He is min-priced, so I think there is a lot of value there this week. Wes has been playing better to an extent lately. He made the cut and got 32nd at the Sony. Before that, he had 2 MC and a 12th at Sanderson Farms. Wes has played at Riviera 2x before with an MC, and a 4th place finish in the past. He makes the cut at his price; he will be accommodating to get more guys at the top. At his price, you are taking a risk, but it could pay off big time.

Good Luck this week
