Well, Ruby 2 and 3 didn’t fare so well but Ruby 1 Conners was top 10. I’ll take it. The last 2 weeks’ top rubies have been fantastic. Let’s keep the hot run going this week at the RSM. This field is actually very good considering we had the Masters last week. I’m very excited about golf this weekend.

Ruby #1 Doug Ghim ($6500)– Doug Ghim is showing up quite often in the top of my models this week. He ranks inside ht top 20 in my model from the past 24 rounds up until now. Ghim hasn’t lost on approach since the Charles Schwab Cup in June. If Wyndham is a comp course Ghim has a 20th at the Wyndham back in 2018 and made the cut last year at the RSM finishing 65th. Ghim fits this course very well and is playing very well. He’s 150-1 in the betting market as well which is very good value.

Ruby #2: J.J. Spaun ($6300)- Yes, I know what you are thinking when you see this name in an article I write. This dude has lost his damn mind again. Let me defend this now with some stats. JJ Spaun’s wife just gave birth to their 1st child, he received a sponsor invite this week. I believe due to the 2nd place finish in 2017.  Historically JJ’s best putting surface is Bermuda greens which we are on this week. He has gained an approach in his last 4 tournaments and has a top 10 in that span. He has also gained tee to green in his last 4 tournaments. The putting has let him down but when he putted average, he finished 9th at the Safeway. At 400-1, it’s an instant bet for me, and 801 on the top 5 screams value.

Ruby #3: D.J. Trahan ($6500)– This is my flyer of the group who is popping up in my stats.  Trahan has made 4 consecutive cuts and gained over 5 strokes on approach at the Sanderson Farms. He lost over 6 strokes putting. That was very uncharacteristic of him as he is not that bad of a putter. He putts mediocre that week and he’s top 10. For his price, he is playing very well lately and has a top 10 last year on this course and a 4th back in 2012. He has played it 3 times and has 2 tops 10s.

Good Luck this week
