Welcome to divisional round weekend in the NFL! This has always been my favorite weekend of football; the top teams battling it out for a chance to play for a conference championship. Saturday games, Sunday games, what could be better? I’ll tell you what, a divisional round without Tom Brady (sorry Patriots fans, well, not really). Check out my favorite DFS targets of the weekend!

QB:

Patrick Mahomes – 7,500 vs HOU  (with Tyreek Hill)

Mahomes is one of the best QB’s in the NFL, him and the Chiefs have been one of the hottest teams in the league lately, they are at home and they take on a team in the Texans who ranked 2nd last in DFS this season vs the QB position. The matchup is good, there should be tons of points scored overall, and even with Lamar Jackson on this slate as well, it’s Mahomes who is 900 bucks cheaper who I prefer this weekend

Ryan Tannehill – 5,400 at BAL (with AJ Brown)

He might be the worst real life QB left in the playoffs, but that shouldn’t stop you from using him in fantasy, especially in Daily Fantasy and in large GPP tournaments. He is so affordable compared to the rest of the QB, he can run with the football and he has played incredibly well this season since taking over as the starter. He and AJ Brown seem to have a very special connection as well and it wouldn’t be surprising at all to see them connect on a long touch down. Now that Tannehill’s first playoff game is under his belt as well, he has an opportunity to excel in this game, a game that the Titans will have to put up big points in just to keep pace with the Ravens.

** I Also like DeSean Watson this week, he is priced in the middle of the 2 guys mentioned above and should be used with DeAndre Hopkins in a lineup**

RB:

Aaron Jones – 7,400 vs SEA

Jones is the key to the Packers success in my opinion. When he is heavily involved and putting up big time numbers they typically win. He contributes rushing the ball and in the passing game too. In the playoffs, being able to run the football is a must to any teams success, so expect to see it a lot this weekend, especially because the Packers will want to control clock and keep Russell Wilson on the sideline. Jones was a TD machine this year, and of the top RB’s on this slate, he is the most reasonably priced and has as much upside as anyone.

Damien Williams – 6,000 vs HOU

Williams had a very tough season after breaking out the season prior. He missed the majority of it with on and off injuries, however the past 2 weeks, with him at full strength, he has clearly been the top fantasy option in the Chiefs backfield. He’s had 3 total TD during that time, he’s catching the ball, he’s rushing well and has over 52 points total in DK scoring since the start of week 16. He is my favorite RB2 on the slate, and he easily could put up RB1 numbers.

Raheem Mostert – 5,800 vs MIN

There are a lot of mouths to feed in this running game, but right now Mostert appears to be the guy getting the most opportunity. He is explosive with the balls in his hands, was one of the top RB in the league this year in terms of avg yards per rush and he also has a rushing TD in 6 straight games. Using him with Williams gives you an underrated RB1/RB2 combo, a combo that may actually end up being the top one of the slate. This game also presents a positive game script considering the 49ers are a run first team who should also be playing from ahead.

WR:

Davante Adams – 7,800 vs SEA

He is pricey, but he needs to be in at least some of your lineups. The past 3 weeks he has had games of 13, 16 and 13 targets, so you know he is getting his opportunities and when it comes to who Rodgers is going to look for in a key moment or in the red zone, you can bet that 9 times out of 10, that player is Adams. SEA is not a bad defense vs WR this season, but they can be beaten, especially by elite guys, which Adams is.

Tyler Lockett – 6,600 at GB

It was D.K. Metcalf who shined last week for the Seahawks in their win over the Eagles, but Lockett still saw 8 targets and he is Wilson’s favorite target. Metcalf might have more upside because Lockett seems to be the main focus of opposing defenses, but Lockett is the safer play and does have big time upside due to his big play and explosive abilities.

Deebo Samuel – 5,200 vs MIN

I think he has been the best WR on this 49ers team. He is a big play waiting to happen, both in the passing game and running the football as well. His production has only risen since the arrival of Emmanuel Sanders who is also an intriguing option this week. This Vikings team ranked 26th this season vs the WR position and to me its a matchup that needs to be exploited.

Marquise Hollywood Brown – 4,400 vs TEN

This is totally just a cheap boom or bust play. He has been just that this season, boom or bust. He can save you money elsewhere, you can use him as a WR3 or in the flex spot and if he goes off for even one big TD catch in this game, it will be worth it. It takes just one big play with this guy in this offense.

TE:

Travis Kelce – 6,400 vs HOU

He is a matchup nightmare for any defense, the best pass catching TE in the league right now in my opinion. He is likely to lead the Chiefs in targets this weekend, he will rack up catches, yards and even a TD or 2. Pay up at TE with this guy because there are so few and he has the ability to outscore WR’s.

Mark Andrews – 5,600 vs TEN

He is a nice price break from Kelce and Kittle and he is the main pass catcher in a high powered Ravens offense. He and Lamar Jackson have dominated opposing defenses all season long and there is a good chance that their success continues in the postseason.
