Last night as I stared at my iPhone and watched as Jonas Valancunias, my favorite play of the night just absolutely destroy my hopes and dreams (and yours probably too) of cashing. I could hear “Everybody Hurts” by R.E.M playing over and over in my head. Buddy Hield must’ve took a vacation day too because he was nowhere to be found either. With all this said, there definitely still was a ton of value to be had and I still had some power plays on yesterday’s edition of The Daily Write Up that if mixed with your own players should’ve helped you cash. This is something we need to all take in, NBA DFS is one of the hardest things to predict, hell every sport is. You win some and you will lose some and if you’re not having fun doing both, then it’s time to quit. I don’t see quitters on any of the pages I write for, So who is excited for this 11 game slate of epic proportions tonight? I know I am! Let’s get into it.

Disclaimer: Remember people, I am not a professional, just an avid NBA fan who loves the sport and loves DFS. We are betting on human beings here which is probably the hardest thing to bet on. Some days we will win. Some days we will lose.  I will never argue with any member of any community about who they want to play on any given night. However, if you would like my opinion on a particular player I will gladly help you any way that I can if you ask me. My slogan is “If you like him, play him”. It’s your money and I can’t spend it for you. If I don’t get back to you right away, it’s because I am just like you and work a full time job and I do this in my down time here. I promise to get back to you.  Some players who are studs I may not mention in detail here in this article but will be displayed in the “Players I like but did not mention here” portion of the write up towards the end.  All stats mentioned are accurate as of today and screenshots can be provided upon request.  Credit: Fantasy Labs, Fantasyalarm.com, Sean Mitchell @ FantasyAlarm.

Ben Simmons (PHI) vs. NYK ($8,000) PG/SF

The Knicks are not a very good team this year and tonight they make a pitstop in Philadelphia against the 76ers. The Knicks on average give up a whopping 64.0 FPTS per game to opposing point guards (This stat is total meaning bench point guards and starters combined) and they’re the worst in the NBA against the position. Ben Simmons has been filling the stat sheets his past four games and has a really decent price tonight here on DK. I feel like this game could get ugly quick but with the time Simmons spends on the floor he should have no problem easily getting 4 to possibly 5 times value tonight.

Trae Young (ATL) vs. MIL ($9,400) PG

On paper, this looks like a tough matchup here against Eric Bledsoe and the Milwaukee Bucks. However, Trae Young is over his time in California which wasn’t as he expected I’m sure as he still produced well but was well below average for what this man can put up on a team on any given night. That’s the Lakers and the Clippers people, two top 5 defenses. Tonight Trae Young is home vs. MIL and even though I doubt the Hawks win this one, you will still want you some Trae Young tonight especially under 10k. Milwaukee without Khris Middleton is still a strong team but I have faith that Young will get at least 5 times value tonight.

Dejounte Murray (SA) @ WAS ($5,200) PG

Want a sneaky good play at a low low price, Well look no further than Dejounte Murray tonight against the Wizards. The Wizards are 3rd in the league in scoring but they are horrendous defensively. And who is the Wizards starting point guard you say? Well it’s Isaiah Thomas, who is one of the worst defenders in the NBA. Derrick White is out tonight, so Murray should see an uptick in minutes tonight and at this price it’s a low risk to get 4-5 times your value maybe more. In Pop I trust, get me to the money coach! We need it after last night!

Fred VanVleet (TOR) vs. ORL ($7,400) PG/SG

VanVleet or Fultz? VanVleet or Augustin?…Hmmm..With Lowry out, VanVleet has been on an absolute tear lately and is a minute per game monster. Tonight he gets a juicy matchup at home again vs. Orlando who give up on average 55.5 FPTS a game vs.opposing point guards. In the past ten days, VanVleet is averaging a ridiculous 44.0 FPTS per game on an absurd 38.5 minutes per game!! Why are you still reading this! Put him in!!!

Jimmy Butler (MIA) vs. CLE ($7,700) (PG/SG)

With Justise Winslow out for another game, Look to Jimmy B to perform admirably for you tonight in DFS. Cleveland is not a good defensive team in the backcourt and Jimmy B should in first class on his way to cashtown tonight! Jimmy B has 40-45+ FPT potential for sure in this matchup.

Spencer Dinwiddie (BKN) vs. CHA ($7,200) (PG/SG)

So when we were kids and we would take our seats in class, what do we remember seeing first? No no not Mr Schneebly and the big wart on his chin, No we saw the chalkboard and what was resting on the ledge of the chalkboard?? Anyone? Anyone? Bueller? Bueller? That’s right there was chalk! Dinwiddie could be a chalky candidate to start tonight or he may be entirely overlooked. I doubt the latter. In Dinwiddie’s past two games in relief of an injured Kyrie Irving he has posted 50.25 FPTS vs. IND (they were banged up I get it) and 35.25 FPTS against an athletic young Bulls team. The minutes are there and folks he’s basically this offenses’ identity until Kyrie comes back. At this price, which is a little higher than usual definitely doesn’t handicap anyone’s lineups, he’s worth adding here even in a tougher matchup vs. Rozier and the Hornets in BKN.

Donovan Mitchell (UTA) @ MIN ($7,700) (PG/SG)

Mitchell didn’t exactly excite us the last time he played against MIN on Monday as he put up only 30.75 FPTS in 34 minutes. But, my gut feeling is telling me to give him another chance tonight. His price has dropped $200 and MIN is the 3rd worst as of today facing opposing SG’s giving up on average 65.6 FPTS per game. There’s your stats! You wanted them you got them! Play him if you want. I think he is ready to have a nice game tonight in Minnesota.

Devonte’ Graham (CHA) @ BKN ($6,700) (PG/SG)

What a great matchup here for Devonte’ Graham tonight in Brooklyn. Man, this slate is going to be a hard one with so much value on it. Graham is up against a BKN team who is lost without Kyrie Irving, Dinwiddie will be dueling with Rozier tonight (whom I also don’t mind you guys taking a look at) while Graham will most likely draw possibly Joe Harris? I’m assuming. That is too good of a matchup to look past and ugh oh yea, Brooklyn is not only bad at defending opposing centers but right now they are giving up a whopping 61.1 FPTS per game to opposing shooting guards. Set it and forget it!

Will Barton (DEN) @ HOU ($6,400) (PG/SF)

Barton gets a tasty matchup against Danuel House tonight. He’s pretty cheap as opposed to the production he’s been putting out as of late. Before Barton’s lackluster performance against MEM on Sunday, Barton was performing admirably in his price range. He averaged 37.79 FPTS per game in his previous 6 contests. His price dropped $500 since his last game and that is a gift from the fantasy gods for you to take advantage of tonight.

Nicolas Batum (CHA) @ BKN ($4,400) (SG/SF)

Remember this is GPP and we have to differentiate ourselves from the flock and the sharks. Batum is so cheap it’s almost laughable. Miles Bridges will most likely get the start here but that doesn’t mean Batum won’t see 20-25 minutes of action. When Batum is hot on the floor, he’s hot! You and I know both know he has the potential for 30+ FPTS on any given night. He could be a sneaky good add here.

Paul George (LAC) vs. BOS ($7,800) (SF/PF)

Kawhi Leonard is a strong possibility to miss this game. Boston is an above average defensive team but can be exposed at the forward positions. George doesn’t look rusty at all and even those he wasn’t lights out against OKC, I just can’t leave him out tonight. He’s had two days to rest and he’s back home and if Leonard sits, he will definitely be the man to own tonight for the Clippers. This looks to be a slow paced game but again, I like George at this price especially for his monster potential. Give him a look.

Kelly Olynyk (MIA) vs. CLE ($4,600) (PF/C)

Olynyk finally saw the floor against a banged up New Orleans squad and put up a respectable 25.75 FPTS. Now this is a volatile pick but could be low risk/high reward if his last performance won the favor of Head Coach Erik Spolestra. Olynyk in my opinion is leaps and bounds a better player than Meyers Leonard with the exception of Leonard’s three point shot. This is more of a gut feeling pick in a good matchup, I’m not afraid of Kevin Love guarding him either. Cleveland is terrible against the power forward position. 20-25 FPT potential here if he gets the minutes.

Davis Bertrans (WAS) vs. SA ($4,500) (SF/PF)

Another sneaky good pick against a team that is lousy against opposing forwards (50.8 FPTS per game given up) is Davis Bertans. 24-30 FPT potential tonight. If his three pointer falls and he can get some rebounds tonight you got yourself one hell of value play for low, low money in a juicy sweet tantalizing matchup.

Blake Griffin (DET) @ CHI ($7,100) (PF)

Chicago is also terrible against forwards and Blake Griffin minutes are slowly starting to increase here. This game could be his coming out party. Did you get your tickets? I sure did! I can easily see Blake get 6-7 times value at this price and go off on this poor Bulls team! He’s one of my favorite picks of the night especially if he sees north of 30 minutes on the floor. Don’t get caught in the dust, Trust in the Motor City Man tonight!

Kevin Love (CLE) @ MIA ($7,400) (PF/C)

If Kevin Love’s injury doesn’t limit his minutes on the floor tonight, then I think Love is a great play tonight with high upside. This play doesn’t come without risk but in a GPP, risk is what it’s all about. Before Love hurt his back,  His previous 5 contests dating from 11/14 and before he was averaging a robust 38.3 FPTS per game. He’s definitely in play for me if he’s not on a restriction tonight. Someone to look at.

Pascal Siakam (TOR) vs. ORL ($8,800) (PF/C)

He and VanVleet together form a sneaky stack tonight against Orlando. Siakam has been the face of this team since Leonard’s departure in the offseason and dude has been on a tear! In the past ten days, Siakam has averaged 44.0 FPTS per game and a monster 40.4 Minutes per game. Usage…check! Production…check! Play him tonight with confidence….check! What more do I say?

Al Horford (PHI) vs. NYK ($6,100) (PF/C)

Horford draws an easy matchup tonight vs. the Knicks. Horford has been averaging over 31 FPTS per game in the past ten days and he’s a cheaper alternative to some more attractive power forwards on this huge game slate. Safe to play. The Knicks give up on average 8-10% more FPTS on average to opposing power forwards.

Jarrett Allen (BKN) vs. CHA ($5,300) (Center)

Jarrett Allen gets a gimme gimme gum drop put me in a tongue lock matchup tonight against Charlotte whom are horrendous against opposing centers. (43.5 FPTS given up per game). He’s scored over 30 FPTS in the past three contests and I’m going to use him in a few of my lines tonight as a bargain low risk/high reward center with 5-6 times value potential. You should too.

Alex Len (ATL) vs. MIL ($4,200) (Center)

Damian Jones could also be used in this spot. This is a BOOM or BUST value play straight from the gut here. Milwaukee’s weakness is up the middle just like my prom date so you guys should have no problems scoring here with little risk/high reward.

LaMarcus Aldridge (SA) @ WAS ($7,700) (PF/C)

Aldridge has a nice matchup tonight against WAS. He is well priced and has produced over 31 FPTS his last four contests. He can fill the stat sheets and your pockets at the same time.

Other players I like not mentioned here: (including value plays)

James Harden (HOU) @ DEN ($11,800) (PG/SG)

Giannis Antetokounmpo (MIL) @ ATL ($11,200) (SF/PF)
