Disclaimer: Remember people, I am not a professional, just an avid NBA fan who loves the sport and loves DFS. We are betting on human beings here which is probably the hardest thing to bet on. Some days we will win. Some days we will lose.  I will never argue with any member of any community about who they want to play on any given night. However, if you would like my opinion on a particular player I will gladly help you any way that I can if you ask me. My slogan is “If you like him, play him”. It’s your money and I can’t spend it for you. If I don’t get back to you right away, It’s because I am just like you and work a full time job and I do this in my down time here. I promise to get back to you.  Some players who are studs I may not mention in detail here in this article but will be displayed in the “Players I like but did not mention here” portion of the write up towards the end.  All stats mentioned are accurate as of today and screenshots can be provided upon request.  Credit: FantasySportsDegens, Fantasy Alarm, NBA Fantasy Labs, and DFS Wolfpack.

Favorite Plays on the Slate:  (In no particular order) ( PG-C positions)

Terry Rozier (CHA) @ WAS ($6,200) PG

Hey! I thought Halloween was over! Aren’t we supposed to be celebrating turkey day next week? Well, tonight looks like a scary good matchup for scary Terry tonight as he matches up with the Washington Wizards. The Wizards are the worst team defensively against opposing point guards giving up an even scarier 63.0 FPTS per game! He should see plenty of Isaiah Thomas tonight and with that said, play him. Maybe after this game, Isaiah can give Carmelo Anthony a call about his training sessions on defense! I joke, I joke, I kid!!, I kid!!! No seriously you want Rozier in your lineups tonight people.

Trae Young (ATL) @ DET ($9,400) PG

Another key player you’ll want to consider adding into your lineups tonight is Trae Young. Young is traveling to the motor city tonight against the Pistons backcourt that gives up on average 63.0 FPTs per game! This ties them as of today with the above mentioned Wizards as the worst team defensively against opposing point guards. You want you some Trae Yeezy tonight!  You need to take advantage of Trae Young’s upside as he is almost matchup proof in his young career. Over the past ten days, Trae Young has averaged an astounding 48.3 FPTS per game and against this disgusting (and I don’t mean that in a good way) defense, Trae Young should easily get you 5 to 6 times value on your investment.

Jalen Brunson (DAL) vs. CLE ($4,400) PG/SG

Looking for a sneaky good value at point guard or shooting guard tonight? Look no further than Jalen Brunson. Seth Curry missed Wednesday’s game with an illness and is also in danger of missing tonight’s game. Question is, Are these teams medical staff giving them their flu shots?? Geez! Everyone’s out here on a Nyquil drip. Of course, you will want to monitor the injury reports throughout the day. I still have a feeling in my gut that Brunson will draw the start even if Curry is available. On Wednesday, Brunson saw an uptick in minutes and put up a respectable 28.25 FPTS albeit against the Golden State Warriors. Cleveland isn’t much better defensively people! They give up the 12th most FPTS to opposing point guards. This match-up has blow out written all over it but I still am projecting Brunson to get more minutes than he usually gets, especially if Curry sits. Low risk/High reward pick for you to stack your lineups with more studs.

Donovan Mitchell (UTA) vs. GS ($7,900) PG/SG

The last time these teams met on November 11th, Mitchell filled the stat sheets and put up 43.5 FPTS in 33 minutes. This game could get out of hand quick especially if Draymond Green isn’t in the lineup tonight. My hope is that Mitchell catches on fire quick and has a repeat performance of his last meeting and gets out before it gets ugly. HELP!! WE need a medic!! There’s been a massacre in Utah!!!

James Harden (HOU) @ LAC ($11,700) PG/SG

This one here for me is a no brainer. As you know I’m not the type of DFS player that likes to spend up on big slates. Tonight, I’m going against my ways. James Harden is an amazing player to spend up on tonight against the Clippers. I just got out of my DeLorean and Dr. Emmett Lathrop Brown, Ph.D. took me on a little trip back to Houston. The date was November 13th, 2019. I was there in the Toyota Center watching James Harden just dice up the Los Angeles Clippers strong defense! As the game ended and the dust settled, Harden put up 47 points, 7 assists, and 6 rebounds to a tally of 71.5 FPTS! The media needs to leave this man alone! Now as myself and Doc sit here, We are both in agreement that you should spend your hard earned dfs salary tonight on Harden. The past is about to repeat itself in Los Angeles tonight. Don’t be left in the dust. “Hey Doc, where to next?”

Lou Williams (LAC) vs. HOU ($6,600) PG/SG

Sweet Lou’s price on DraftKings has decreased since the arrival of Paul George and Kawhi Leonard into the starting lineup. I’m still high on Williams tonight against Houston. This should be a high scoring game with the point spread total at 227.5. Williams is still getting over 30 minutes on the floor with the presence of George and Leonard so don’t be cautious using him. Williams price here allows for 5 to 6 times value tonight. He is one of my favorite picks tonight on the slate and he will be in many of my lineups. He’s not the reigning 6th man of the year for nothing. He will still get usage and to quote the late Bob Barker, “The Price Is Right” Tonight!

Blake Griffin (DET) vs. ATL ($7,700) PF

Ok, ok, I guess I’m a sucker for punishment. Blake Griffin is like an ex girlfriend that I just can’t let go (Don’t tell my fiance’). But hold up, wait a damn minute here. Does DraftKings know something we don’t? How in the H-E-double hockey sticks did Griffin’s price rise $600 after a 28.0 FPT performance versus the Bulls? I’m thinking DraftKings thinks Griffin is in for a big game here tonight and I don’t mind falling for their trap. The Hawks give up on average 56.5 FPTs per game to opposing power forwards (2nd worst in the league.)  With no John Collins, There can be only be one Blake Griffin to either lead us to victory or to leave us in a trail of tears…like that evil ex-girlfriend we all know.

Kevin Love (CLE) @ DAL ($7,800) PF/C

Love is the Cavaliers’ best player on a very bad Cavs team. Love performed admirably in his last contest against the Heat coming off a minor back injury. He didn’t show any signs of that back impeding his performance as he put up 46.25 FPTs in 33 minutes of work. Tonight, he faces a Mavs team that is the 6th worst at defending opposing power forwards and the 3rd worst at defending opposing Centers. Listen, the Mavs most likely will sweep the floor with the Cavs at home but that doesn’t mean Love can’t produce for you at a high level. I like him as a projected lower owned pick on tonight’s slate. Any injury news could change all of this, but let’s hope that minor back issue is behind us. We need some Love to get to cash town tonight babyyyy!!!

Rui Hachimura (WAS) vs. CHA ($5,000) PF

You guys all know how much I love exposing the Hornets front court defensive issues. This here is more of a low risk/high reward straight from the gut pick. Hachimura has been up and down all season.  His floor can be 15 FPTS while his ceiling can be over 30 FPTs. We are hoping  for the latter. Charlotte gives up the 12th most FPTs to opposing power forwards (42.8 FPTs per game). He’s not a must play but Bertans had his turn going off against the Spurs, his former team. I think Hachimura is next in line for a big performance against Charlotte. I’m going to take a chance on him tonight. Remember it’s still gambling. Safe isn’t always effective. I like to walk on the wild side from time to time.

LaMarcus Aldridge (SA) @ PHI ($7,000) PF/C

Did you know? In all of LaMarcus Aldridge’s away games this year, He has put up over 30 FPTS in each contest. You do now, And how cool do you feel knowing that? My guess is probably not that cool? But, you can’t look past the production here folks. The Sixers are a very good team defensively but they also give up the 14th most FPTs to opposing power forwards. Also another feel good stat involving Aldridge tonight,  He’s been very consistent in the past ten days putting up an average of 37.5 FPTs per game on an average of 32.6 Minutes per game. That’s pretty consistently impressive if you ask me! Is their risk here because it’s in the city of brotherly love? Sure there is! Are we afraid of risk? Sure we are! However, with a $700 price drop from his previous game which he had 39 FPTS vs the Wizards. I am confident that he will get his production and hit at the very least 5 times value tonight.

Clint Capela (HOU) @ LAC ($7,700) Center

I absolutely love Capela in tonight’s matchup versus the Clippers in the Staples Center. The Clippers give up the 2nd most FPTs per game vs opposing centers (45.5 FPTs per game). I feel bad I didn’t show you love sooner big man because you’ve been hotter than a shot of fireball. In Capela’s past four contests he’s averaging a monster 46.1 FPTs per game!! The Clippers will have trouble stopping Capela and Harden tonight and I think it will be a very close game and I’m hoping these teams go to overtime. I want the points to shower on me!!!! C’mon fantasy gods why have you forsaken us!! WE NEEDS THE MONEYS!!!!

Rudy Gobert (UTA) vs.GS ($8,200) Center

You know what I say. Gobert! Or Go Home! Tonight is the perfect matchup for Rudy Gobert before it gets ugly.Golden State even with Willy Cauley Stein gives up the 4th most points to opposing centers. Rudy is priced amazingly!! Remember folks, The last time Gobert faced the Warriors in Golden State, He put up 51.5 FPTs! If we can get that kind of production tonight along with some valuable mid-tier stars we could be on our way to Mount Cashonia!!!

Andre Drummond (DET) vs. ATL ($8,500) Center

Blake Griffin’s matchup tonight is not the only one that is super fragilistic expialidocious. (Go ahead and spell check me.) Andre Drummond matches up amazingly against Alex Len and Damian Jones. Alex Len runs like he has anvils in his pockets and Damian Jones while athletic can’t stop the freight train heading his way in Andre Drummond. Now, not to say that either he or Blake can’t put up a stinker here but they also could be thee stack of the night if you can afford to do so. I’m high on both and hope they don’t let us down.

Other players I like here not mentioned:

Note: This is the section of my column where I give you a pool of players that I like but don’t necessarily love. It doesn’t mean they won’t perform well. There will be a range of higher priced value players down to the lower priced players.
