I’m back from an awful head cold and from that other disease known as my regular 8 to 5 main job.

I know you guys want the monies!! I want the monies!! It’s been too damn long! I had a nice hit last week as I came in 14th place out of 4,800 players and won $100 in a $5 single entry. Since then, when I didn’t do my research, I’m back on a cold streak! That ends tonight for me and some of you who’ve been cold with me! It may be cold outside, but let’s make our wallets hot like fire babyy!!!! It’s time to BREAK SOME SLATES! Let’s beat those nasty ol’ sharks and show em’ what Wolves can do!!!

Also, for news, injury updates, and my personal gut feelings on who to play after this article is posted, Be sure to check me out on my Twitter handle.

Some days we will win. Some days we will lose.  I will never argue with any member of any community about who they want to play on any given night. However, if you would like my opinion on a particular player I will gladly help you any way that I can if you ask me. My slogan is “If you like him, play him”. It’s your money and I can’t spend it for you. If I don’t get back to you right away, it’s because I am just like you and work a full time job and I do this in my down time here. I promise to get back to you.  Some players who are studs I may not mention in detail here in this article but will be displayed in the “Players I like but did not mention here” portion of the write up towards the end. Favorite Plays on the Slate:  (In no particular order) ( PG-C position)

Chris Paul (OKC) @ BKN ($6,900) PG

Average FPTS last 5 games:  38.0 FPTs

Opponent vs opposing PG’s Last 5:  Worst (BKN) 114.0 avg per game.

Usage percentage on team:  22.0% (4th on team)

Projected FPTs tonight: 43.5 FPTs

Ceiling: 48.1 FPTs

Chris Paul has an excellent matchup and also comes equipped with a great price as well tonight. Brooklyn is riding a six game losing streak and are sporting the worst defense against opposing point guards in their past 10 games! This is a perfect spot for Chris Paul to exploit this weak defense and set himself up for a productive night in your lineups. I also don’t mind Dennis Schroder whom is $6,500 but I feel Paul gives us the higher upside tonight. Either way, both are good choices.

Derrick Rose (DET) @ CLE ($6,400) PG/SG

Average FPTS last 5 games:  33.3 FPTs

Opponent vs opposing PG’s Last 5:  10th Worst (CLE) 86.7 avg per game.

Usage percentage on team:  31.2% (2nd on team)

Projected FPTs tonight: 31.1 FPTs

Ceiling:  38.6 FPTs

Detroit looks like an intensive care unit as late and if you’ve watched closely, Derrick Rose is starting to see an extra minute on the floor in his past 4 games. This is a trend that should continue as these injuries have just staggered this team. Derrick Rose has a high usage rate and even though he comes off the bench, he gets starter minutes and his price is affordable tonight for the production he can put out. Cleveland is 10th worst defensively against the point guard position in their past 5 games and if you need a nice mid-tier point guard look no further than Derrick Rose tonight.

Spencer Dinwiddie (BKN) vs. OKC ($7,600) PG/SG

Average FPTS last 5 games:  37.2 FPTs

Opponent vs opposing PG’s Last 5:  11th Worst (OKC) 86.1 avg per game.

Usage percentage on team: 32.0% (Leads team)

Projected FPTs tonight:  31.3 FPTs

Ceiling: 51.5 FPTs

I am assuming Dinwiddie may get overlooked tonight because he’s been up and down as of late, and because Caris Levert is scheduled to play in this game as well. Myself, I love the upside of Dinwiddie and I don’t fear the matchup either. He leads the team in usage and his price isn’t bad for the kind of performance he can put up. There are cheaper point guards out there that you can consider but a lot won’t have the ceiling that Dinwiddie has. Someone to keep in mind if you need a nice mid-tier point guard tonight.

LeBron James (LAL) vs. NY ($11,200) PG/SF

Average FPTS last 5 games:  58.6 FPTs

Opponent vs opposing PG’s Last 5:  12th worst (NY) 84.1 avg per game.

Usage percentage on team:  31.3% (Leads team)

Projected FPTs tonight:  55.8 FPTs

Ceiling:  74.3 FPTs

The point spread in this game is 220.5, so there should be plenty of scoring to go around. LeBron James is averaging over 50 FPTs a game in his last 5 games and is in another great spot tonight at home against the Knicks. He’s a premium spend up option to showcase your lineups tonight.

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander (OKC) @ BKN ($6,800) PG/SG

Average FPTS last 5 games:  40.2 FPTs

Opponent vs opposing SG’s Last 5:  3rd worst (BKN) 97.3 avg per game.

Usage percentage on team: 24.7% (2nd on team)

Projected FPTs tonight:  33.7 FPTs

Ceiling:  43.2 FPTs

Collin Sexton (CLE) vs. DET ($6,000) PG/SG

Average FPTS last 5 games:  30.0 FPTs

Opponent vs opposing SG’s Last 5:  9th worst (DET) 89.9 avg per game.

Usage percentage on team: 26.9% (Leads team)

Projected FPTs tonight:  28.6 FPTs

Ceiling: 34.9 FPTs

Buddy Hield (SAC) @ PHX ($7,000) SG/SF

Average FPTS last 5 games:  40.7 FPTs

Opponent vs opposing SG’s Last 5:  18th worst (PHX) 75.6 avg per game.

Usage percentage on team:  27.5% (2nd on team)

Projected FPTs tonight:  39.8 FPTs

Ceiling:  46.0 FPTs

Terence Davis (TOR) vs. POR ($4,900) PG/SG

Average FPTS last 5 games:  18.9 FPTs

Opponent vs opposing SG’s Last 5: 17th worst (POR) 76.4 avg per game.

Usage percentage on team:  16.9% (9th on team)

Projected FPTs tonight: 26.5 FPTs

Ceiling:  27.4 FPTs

CJ McCollum is questionable and if he misses this game, Davis could be a low cost option at shooting guard that could realistically see 25-30 FPTs tonight.

Cedi Osman (CLE) vs. DET ($4,500) SF/PF

Average FPTS last 5 games:  22.0 FPTs

Opponent vs opposing SF’s Last 5:  3rd worst (DET) 101.9 avg per game.

Usage percentage on team:  16.1% (8th on team)

Projected FPTs tonight:  27.8 FPTs

Ceiling:  28.6 FPTs

Detroit is bad against small forwards and Osman has shown flashes this season. Cheap small forward punt play that could see 25-28 FPTs and help you stack studs.

Kelly Oubre (PHX) vs. SAC ($7,300) SF/PF

Average FPTS last 5 games:  45.7 FPTs

Opponent vs opposing SF’s Last 5: 4th worst (SAC) 101.4 avg per game.

Usage percentage on team:  22.0% (Tied with Ayton for 2nd on team)

Projected FPTs tonight:  34.8 FPTs

Ceiling: 42.5 FPTs

Nice mid-tier option with a decent ceiling tonight.

Robert Covington (MIN) @ MEM ($5,900) SF/PF

Average FPTS last 5 games:  36.0 FPTs

Opponent vs opposing PF’s Last 5:  4th worst (MEM) 92.1 avg per game.

Usage percentage on team: 17.5% (8th on team)

Projected FPTs tonight:  30.8 FPTs

Ceiling: 37.8 FPTs

Great play at PF if KAT misses this game. If Towns is back, you may want to reconsider.

Nemanja Bjelica (SAC) @ PHX ($5,300) PF

Average FPTS last 5 games:  26.4 FPTs

Opponent vs opposing PF’s Last 5:   6th worst (PHX) 84.2 avg per game.

Usage percentage on team:  18.6% (9th on team)

Projected FPTs tonight:  27.5 FPTs

Ceiling:  38.4 FPTs

Bjelica is always a dangerous shooter and has double double potential written all over him. He may not have fared well against PHX in past games but that doesn’t mean he can’t have a sneaky good game tonight.

Christian Wood (DET) @ CLE ($5,500) PF/C

Average FPTS last 5 games:  19.8 FPTs

Opponent vs opposing PF’s Last 5:  8th worst (CLE) 80.8 avg per game.

Usage percentage on team:  20.8% (5th on team with injuries to Griffin and M. Morris)

Projected FPTs tonight:  35.4 FPTs

Ceiling: 36.9 FPTs

This could be one of the most sneaky plays at PF on the slate. Wood could have a monster game and he’s cheap tonight.

Danilo Gallinari (OKC) @ BKN ($5,800) SF/PF

Average FPTS last 5 games:  30.4 FPTs

Opponent vs opposing PF’s Last 5: 11th worst (BKN) 72.9 avg per game.

Usage percentage on team:  24.0% (3rd on team)

Projected FPTs tonight:  30.7 FPTs

Ceiling:  37.7 FPTs

Andre Drummond (DET) @ CLE ($9,700) Center

Average FPTS last 5 games:  47.5 FPTs

Opponent vs opposing Centers Last 5:  14th worst (CLE) 65.3 avg per game.

Usage percentage on team:  24.8% (4th on team with Griffin out)

Projected FPTs tonight:  46.3 FPTs

Ceiling:  63.3 FPTs

Best spend up center on the slate in my opinion. 60-65 FPT upside especially if Thompson is out.

I apologize for the small summaries beneath the players. I’m on a time crunch at my regular job today. I hope this information is helpful.

I like Anthony Davis but NY is really good against centers in their past 5 games giving up the least fantasy points to them. If you like him, play him.

I refuse to pay up for Ibaka or Lowry tonight.

The Core 5:   (These are my favorite players at every position tonight. These are not locks as I don’t believe in ever calling a player a lock. These are my favorite plays at every position and are not meant to be a method of an example lineup. The Core 5 has been a section I’ve received requests to do by our followers of the website and in the fb group I do the article for as well. Without further ado, here are my Core 5.

PG:   Chris Paul (OKC) @ BKN ($6,900) PG

SG:   Buddy Hield (SAC) @ PHX ($7,000) SG/SF

SF:    Kelly Oubre (PHX) vs. SAC ($7,300) SF/PF

PF:   Christian Wood (DET) @ CLE ($5,500) PF/C

Center:  Andre Drummond (DET) @ CLE ($9,700) Center

Thank you all for reading and good luck tonight.
