Well, the Valspar is in the books, and it was a fun one as usual. The scoring was higher than expected, but we saw Sam Burns crack the winner’s circle. Many saw it coming sooner than later, so it was nice to see Burns get there. Keegan Bradley and a few others made a push, but it was not enough. Now we head to Charlotte, to Quail Hollow for the Wells Fargo Championship. This is one of the better tournaments year in and year out. Quail is a fantastic golf course, and the strength of the field shows just how great the tournament is yearly. It is a full field event with T65 and ties making it to the weekend. We have lots of past event history, so let’s see who the guys like this week with the weekly PGA OAD picks.

Bubba (@bdentrek) – Max Homa

This may be a popular pick, but I don’t care as Homa has played some outstanding golf this year. He is the defending champion at this event (in 2019) and also has one this season, at a good comp course, THE RIV. Homa made a run last weekend at the Valspar, finishing 6th. He is coming off missed cuts at The Masters and The Players, but that can’t be held too much against Max. I will ride the hot clubs and the defending champion narrative for my OAD pick this week.

Jesse (@DFSGolfGods) – Patrick Reed

At least Kokrak made the cut last week.  He didn’t do anything on the weekend, and we are still looking for the first dub of the season.  This week I will be using Patrick Reed.  He is coming off a missed cut but has had plenty of success around Quail Hollow.  He has finished inside the top 10 two of the last three years and hasn’t missed a cut here since 2012.  Best of luck!

Kevin (@KevinsDelight) – Rickie Fowler

Fresh off the NFL Draft, I’m punting this week….but not as bad as you’d expect.  I’m punting with a former WFC winner and a guy who plays well at QHC.  Rickie, it is for me this week.  He just received an exemption into the PGA Championship and played well his last time out.  Gimmie Rickie!!!

Rob (@AllDayEvery365) – Will Zalatoris

Oh, Sungjae, breaking hearts over the weekend with a poor finish paired with a great start. We’re moving on to Quail and going with Willy Z. I Haven’t used him this year, and why wait at this point? Corollary courses of Augusta and Riviera, where Will had a second and 15th combined with his approach game, make him a nice option this week.

Ruvy (@MichaelRuvolo) – Tony Finau

Well, Patrick Reed crashed and burned hard last week so back to the well. This week I’m going with a guy who barely missed out at Riviera and has played well at the Masters in the past but just can’t get the win. Obviously, Im going top 5 Tony. Tread lightly as he appears to be a popular pick this week but I can’t think of a better spot to play him in hoping for that elusive win.
