We have made it to another MAJOR WEEK!!!! The Palmetto Championship is in the books. It was a decent tournament, but the leader board and the names that did not make the weekend let you know what type of tournament it was. Now the tour heads to La Jolla, California, to Torrey Pines for the 2021 U.S. Open. The field is loaded as always for a major. The course looks beautiful and will have some significant teeth. Par will be a great score, and 6/6 percentages shall be challenging as it is still a 156 golfer field, but only T60 and ties make the weekend. Let’s see who the guys like this week with the weekly PGA OAD picks.
|Last Week Money||$17,483.00||$0.00||$0.00||$33,337.00||$0.00|
|Last Week Pick||Sam Ryder||Luke List||Lucas Glover||Tommy Fleetwood||Alexander Noren|
|This Week Pick||Jon Rahm||Jon Rahm||Jon Rahm||Collin Morikawa||Brooks Koepka|
Jesse (@DFSGolfGods) – Brooks Koepka
Welp, last week was a disaster. Thankfully this week, we get one of the best tournaments of the year. I’m taking Brooks Koepka. I’ve learned my lesson of the years fading him at tournaments like this. It doesn’t matter how he’s been playing or if he isn’t fully healthy; he just shows up. Best of luck!
Kevin (@KevinsDelight) – Jon Rahm
The US Open returns to California at Torrey Pines. Not many have had better success than Jon Rahm in San Diego, and if you believe in poetic justice, you’ve got to believe Rahm gets retribution this week and bags his first major after the debacle at Jack’s place. I like HOVLAND a lot but burned him at Kiawah. So I’m going with Rahmbo.
Rob (@AllDayEvery365) – Collin Morikawa
Major no. 3 has arrived, and after Tommy’s abysmal finish after a nice opener, it couldn’t come sooner. The pick is Morikawa, a guy fresh off a top finish at the Memorial and doing everything right with his approach. He can sling around this place and hopefully find his putter.
Ruvy (@MichaelRuvolo) – Jon Rahm
I’ve waited to use this guy all year here. I’m pretty far out of it, but that’s ok. I’m using Jon Rahm! Torrey pines have been his spot over the years, and coming off a Covid WD, he is primed to win, I believe
Bubba (@bdentrek) – Jon Rahm
RHAMBO!!!!!! Rahm is cleared to play after the whacky situation at the Memorial that cost him nearly $2M. He was playing great, so the current form does not concern me at all. He also is built for courses like Torrey. He is long off the tee and has an elite short game that will keep him in the mix all weekend. Let’s get RHAMBO that major victory this week at Torrey. If I didn’t go, Rahm, I was going Morikawa, but I used him a few weeks ago.
