The Masters came and went so quick. Overall a great week of golf; it was highlighted with a Hideki Matsuyama victory. Fantastic to see Hideki put on the green jacket. We noticed some of the best make some runs on Sunday, saw Willy Z continue his crazy start to his career, and even saw some big names miss the cut. Now we head to Harbour Town for the RBC Heritage. It is a bit of a smaller field, with 136 golfers, but still an overall strong field for the event. This is a tournament and a course that suits many different golfers, so targeting just bombers or another skill set is not always the ticket. This week won’t be The Masters, but it will still be a great week of PGA Tour action. Let’s see what the guys like with this week’s PGA OAD picks.

Bubba (@bdentrek) – Brian Harman

This course sets up for a Webb Simpson play, and I was so close to using Webb, but I know he will be super popular, and I need some leverage. This strategy has not worked yet, but can’t change now. So I will pivot to Brian Harman. Those that listen to the Always Pressing PGA DFS POD know my level of interest in Harman. I have been talking him up for a few weeks now as he has played at a high level. He finished 12th at Augusta after a 5th at the Match Play and 3rd at The Players. He has not missed a cut in quite some time, and I do not see that happening this week. Harman has also made three of his last four cuts at Harbour Town, including a 28th last year. His ball-striking is on point right now, and he won’t have to try and keep up with the bombers this week. Stay hot, you bald lefty!!!!! (man of my own heart)

I expected JT to have a better weekend than he did.  A hole or two on the back on Saturday derailed any chances and probably his concentration.  This week we are on to the Heritage at famed Harbor Town.  I am going to use Matthew Fitzpatrick as my one and done.  He has said in the past that this is his favorite stop on tour and, after a couple of missed cuts has placed 14th in 2 of the last three years.  Fitz has played very well recently by finishing inside the top 11 in 4 of his previous five starts.  Best of luck!

Congrats to Hideki on carrying the green jacket draped over his arm, walking through the airport on his way to catch a commercial flight.  What a way to celebrate winning the Masters!  A great week until the weather hit Saturday.  Then the excitement was sucked out of the event until late Sunday.

Now we’re on to another event handing out jackets….I can easily see Fitzpatrick donning the tartan coat Sunday evening.  Let’s hope he isn’t the new FLEETWOOD.    Get you a jacket, Matthew….Fitzpatrick for me.

Ruvy (@MichaelRuvolo) – Colin Morikawa

Well, Bryson was almost what I expected at the Masters. He won’t ever compete at Augusta until he can control his emotions and his meathead mentality of overpowering the course. I think he can do it eventually, but he is not even close. This week I am going with a guy I feel has complete control of his game and understands it very well. I’m going with Colin Morikawa. Morikawa is one of the best, if not the best, iron player on tour. Driving doesn’t mean much at this course. It is more of an accuracy course. Incoming off a made cut at the masters where I think the conditions didn’t fit him perfectly, but he still played very well. Give me the best iron player in this field and go from there.

Rob (@AllDayEvery365) – Harris English

The Masters didn’t disappoint, and Xander’s mistake on 16 cost him a pretty penny, but he can’t complain about his week overall. The Tour treks over to Hilton Head, and this week my golfer of choice is Harris English. Coming off a solid performance and finding form again after a lull, his irons have turned around and will be a good backbone for a solid week.
