What a week at the AMEX. Si WOOOOOO shooting -23 to take home the trophy while Cantlay and others made some strong pushes. Rob and Jesse both had strong weeks with Abe Ancer’s strong performance, while the others all cashed something with cuts made for all. This week the PGA Tour heads a little further south to La Jolla, California, to Torrey Pines for the Farmers Insurance Open. It is a star-studded field as usual and features 156 golfers with T65 and ties, making it to the weekend. Bombers usually have the upper hand at Torrey, and that will likely be the case again this week with a little weather and the course preparing for this year’s U.S, Open. Let’s see who the guys like this week with the 2021 Farmers Insurance Open PGA OAD Picks.

Ancer came through with a solid finish last week to bank some cash.  This week we move to The Farmers Insurance Open at Torrey Pines.  I’ll be thrilled when the pros are only playing one course for the week, but at least we get a bit of a preview for the US Open later this summer.  This week I am using Tony Finau.  The mixture of course history (I think it will play harder this week than years past) and current form makes it hard for me to pass on Tony. He is more than due for a win, so let’s hope we get it this week.  Best of luck!

Ruvy (@MichaelRuvolo) – Tony Finau

I’ve picked guys that start good and fade hard on the weekend! I’m going to maybe continue the trend by picking Tony Finau. He’s fished top 10 here in the past, and that is a trend with 10 of the last 12 winners. Tony gets the monkey off his back, coming in with a good form, and takes it down.

Kevin (@KevinsDelight) – Tony Finau

Well, Sungjae shit the bed at AmEx after driving it in the water on 9 Saturday, took a drop in the bunker, the blasted it in the water again.  Still, a made cut and decent $ but not what I was expecting after his 36-home start.

Farmers is a great event, especially with the US Open being held here in a few months.  I’m looking at Rahm, Palmer, Rory, and Finau.  Yes, Finau! I’ve written about him a few times this year and his struggles to get W #2.  He’s got a great chance this week, and I’m taking him.  Rahm’s WD last week, and Rory’s more useable in a major with a bigger purse, so I’m going Tony.  He’ll bag us a Top 10 at minimum.

Bubba (@bdentrek) – Tony Finau

There seems to be a consensus this week, but screw it, we ride and die together at Torrey. Finau is coming in off a strong week at the AMEX. He did not close on Sunday but still played well; he just couldn’t putt. He has played great at Torrey, making all six cuts with nothing worse than a 13th in the last four years and three Top 6 performances. Let’s hope this is the week Finau finally breaks through and gets that big PGA Tour to win.

Rob (@AllDayEvery365) – Tony Finau

Abe got himself a solid Sunday finish after a slow Saturday and another top five to start the year. We’re going with ” The Man Who Can’t Win” in Finau, as he continues to score well and has three top 10s at Torrey in the last four years. He’s 18/1 this week, gained strokes in all major categories for his last 20 tournaments and somehow always finds a way to putt well on the Torrey Poa.
