What a wild weekend at the PGA Championship. Phil with a legendary weekend, collecting his sixth major championship. It was a wild scene, especially on Sunday. Brooks looked like “Major Brooks,” while we saw Rickie, Higgs, and others have great weeks, finishing near the top of the leaderboard. This week the PGA Tour heads back to Texas for the Charles Schwab Challenge. The name has changed many times, but the course has not Colonial CC. This tournament has been held at the Colonial since 1946, so there is a ton of course history. We have a loaded field as well, like an invitational field, as there are only 121 golfers, but still, T65 and ties get through to the weekend. Meaning over half of the field will play the weekend. Let’s see who the guys like this week with the weekly PGA OAD picks.

Bubba (@bdentrek) – Collin Morikawa

The Colonial is not a long course but is a course that requires an excellent approach game. Well, there are not many better iron players in all of golf than Morikawa. He finished second here last year in his debut and is coming off an excellent 8th place finish last week. That gives him back-to-back Top 10 finishes. Give me Morikawa making another run this week and getting me back in the money after a rough few weeks.

Jesse (@DFSGolfGods) – Scottie Scheffler

Well, Rory didn’t quite pan out like I thought, but that is pretty much the story of the year for me.  My guys make the cut, and that’s about it.  This week I am using Scottie Scheffler.  I’ll play into the Texas narrative to go along with his good recent play.  Best of luck!

Ruvy (@MichaelRuvolo) – Chris Kirk

Relative long shot this week. Good iron player and a good putter. Steady Chris Kirk is my pick. He has won here before. If his putter can get hot here, he can compete. I bet him so worth the gamble.
