Arnold Palmer will always be one of the most influential Golf Professionals of all time and the API traditionally has a fantastic field.  The new place on the schedule takes some of the big names away from the event but still proves to be one of the best events to watch annually.  Looking forward to watching this week and hope to continue the success of the betting write-up since the Tournament of Champions.

We head into the API up $4,178 for 2021.  We’ve hit outrights on Harris English, Si Woo Kim, Brooks Koepka, Daniel Berger, and Collin Morikawa.  Also hit First Round Leader plays on Kokrak and Fitzpatrick.  I really think Rory gets back into the winners circle this week but have some good plays on the card should you want some excitement…..I’ll follow my love for Rory this week in DraftKings.

We have $527 in play this week….Let me know if you have any questions, best of luck!

Outright Bets:

Rory McIlroy ($100 to win $800):  Only making this play because of the success we’ve had so far this year.  Missed him at 10/1 Monday, saw 7.5/1 Tuesday, and just saw 8/1 as I was searching for my 4th outright play.  I’m not backing off my stance that Rory wins!

Matthew Fitzpatrick ($25 to win $625):  A big thanks to FITZ for getting us a FRL chop last week.  He’s in good form and plays well at Bay Hill.  Really hope he can bag a W on the PGA TOUR for the first time.

Max Homa ($25 to win $1,25):  His form is great for Bay Hill and this number is hard to ignore for a guy playing this well.  Par 5’s are vital here and he’s #1 in my model…

Cameron Davis ($25 to win $1,875):  Cam seems ready to win on TOUR and I can’t pass up this number in this field.  Apart from Rory and some of the bigger names, Davis is near the top of my list to win here!

Top 10:

Marc Leishman ($25 to win $75):  Not a great number but like Leish to content this week…Great success here!

Rickie Fowler ($25 to win $113):  Starting to show signs of life.  Last time his peers or former TOUR players starting talking poor about him he won the PLAYERS.  Maybe Faldo’s comments light a fire under Rick

Emiliano Grillo ($25 to win $138):  Like Grillo for a Top 10 this week.  Before his DQ here last year his finishes here include 26th, 7th, and 17th….His form is pretty solid right now.

Talor Gooch ($25 to win $138):  Like Gooch’s game and know it suits Bay Hill.  13th and 26th in 2 starts here.

Chris Kirk ($25 to win $188):   Kirk owns 4 top 16’s here since 2013.  He’s been solid in 2021 and I like this number this week.

Luke List ($25 to win $188):  T2G and Ball striking reign supreme at Bay Hill….List fits the mold, if he putts a little better than Hideki he’ll be in the mix late Sunday.  If he putts like Hideki he’ll struggle to make the cut Friday.

Head 2 Head:

EMILIANO GRILLO ($39 to win $30) vs. Robert MaCIntyre:  Purely a play on Grillo’s success here.  Bobby Mac wasn’t great T2G at WGC.

RORY MCILROY ($38 to win $30) vs. Bryson DeChambeau:  Love this play because I think Rory wins this week.

First Round Leader (FRL):

Sungjae Im ($25 to win $688):  Two Top 3 finishes here in 2 starts….Hope he comes out hot Thursday.

Jason Day ($25 to win $1,000):  Let’s hope he shows up and doesn’t WD and head to Disney World…Day is a fun roller coaster ride….

Tommy Fleetwood ($25 to win $1,000):  Hell of a starter, not much of a closer.  Love to see him fire a 63 tomorrow and win us $1,000.

Marc Leishman ($25 to win $1,250):  Great success here for Leish….I can see him getting the flatstick hot early

Charley Hoffman ($25 to win $1,250):  This guy loves to take it deep on Thursday.  Don’t be surprised if Charley has us hoping to cash a big one come the end of the first round.
