We have made it to another major. The late summer/fall swing of the 2020 season is a loaded one. Just a week removed from the PGA Championship, the best of the best will tee it up at Wingfoot. The course is set up for pure carnage and par will be a great score. Most of the guys have used most of the big dogs so this week’s picks should be interesting. It is all about survival of the fittest when it comes to winning a U.S. Open. Let’s see who the guys like with the 2020 U.S. Open PGA OAD Picks.

Bubba (@bdentrek) – Tyrell Hatton

This week sets up for the likes of a DJ or Rhambo win. I have already used those two. I was looking at the X-Man, used him too. Most of the big dogs have been used so I moved down the list and found a golfer that is playing really strong golf and does not mind the challenge of a tough course. He finished 21st last year in Pebble and 6th the year before at Shinnecock. He is coming in with a 5th at the PGA Championship at East Lake, followed by a 16th and a 25th in the two previous weeks. He is a great ball striker and should be able to grind out some pars. Let’s get it this week Tyrell.

Ruvy (@MichaelRuvolo) – Justin Thomas

Went conservative with Steele last week. It ended up being Meh. I’m using a big gun this week. Going with Justin Thomas. If his driver is on he will be there at the end. Stay out of the rough and you will be fine Justin. That’s a big ask for him. Maybe it happens this week for him. He has the length.

Kevin (@KevinsDelight) – Justin Rose

So i went Speef last week…and an MC has me feeling like I had a red wine hangover!  I’ve used DJ, Rahm, and JT so I’m limited at the top as I’ve said all along I’ll save Rory for Augusta.   I’ll go with a guy who does well when par is paramount….Rose it is!

Jesse (@DFSGolfGods) – Webb Simpson

Welp Steele made the cut last week and that’s about it.  This is the much more important week where ungodly amounts of money can be won.  I am almost out of the big dogs, but if I had DJ, Rahm, Rory, or JT I would fire them off here.  This week I am going to go with a past US Open winner in Webb Simpson.  Webb won on a tough golf course at +1 in 2012, so I think he can pull it off here too.  Twitter seems to think this golf course will play hard and we all know Twitter is never wrong.  Best of luck!

Rob (@AllDayEvery365) – Justin Thomas

The big boy test is upon us and it’s time to unleash Mr. Thomas upon Winged Foot. The course is flat out stunning and appalling at the same time. At certain camera angles, the greens are going to look crazy and cause headaches, but they should play into our pick’s hands.

Thomas has shown that his ball-striking is second to none and his putting can get super hot. He comes into the tournament third in odds and was playing some of the best golf as the season was ending. Enjoy the week everyone! Should be a good time with some high-quality golf ahead.
