Well, Rory Mcilroy went nuclear over the weekend in Canada and ran away with the RBC Canadian Open. Bubba got a nice 4th from Matt Kuchar while Kevin and Jesse both got an ok finish from Jim Furyk. This week we head to wonderful Pebble Beach for the 3rd major of the PGA Tour season, the 119th U.S. Open. The course is in U.S. Open form, but should be a lot of fun this week. Let’s see who the guys like this week in the weekly PGA OAD picks.

Bubba (@bdentrek) – Dustin Johnson
Yep, I’ll go with the chalk, but I’ve saved him for a reason. We are talking about one of the best players in the world playing on a course that he loves more than most. He’s won the Pro-Am a few times (yes I know that’s not the same). He contested before blowing it at the 2010 U.S. Open and since then has one a U.S. Open to kind of make up for that. DJ has made all 14 cuts he’s attempted this season and has finished T2 in 2 of his last 4 tournaments. Finishing 2nd in the PGA Championship and the Masters. DJ has finished 3rd, MC, 1st, T2 and T4 in his last 5 U.S. Opens. Give me the chalk and give me DJ.
Jesse (@DFSGolfGods) – Francesco Molinari
For the 2019 United States Open Championship of the world I am going to use Mr. Francesco Molinari. I think he can get around here just fine, but I’m also out of the big guys who I would normally use. If you got DJ or BK fire away.
Rob (@AllDayEvery365) – Brooks Koepka
Three straight weeks of trash, but it’s major time and that means the best player in the world winning his national championship for the third straight time. There’s plenty of narratives out there for others, but let’s face it, Brooks is the best and it’s hard to argue against it in big tournaments. He plays better when courses are harder, has improved his game, STILL, by increasing his strokes gained in all categories his last four tournaments. The last time Brooks missed a cut at a major? 2013. He’s been in the top 15 in 9 of his last 10 majors. He said it himself he’d win a major at St. Andrews, but the Open is at Portrush so this is the last perfect opp to use Brooks.
