Well we’ve made it. The 5th major of the year is here. Before we get there though, let’s recap last week. The 3M Open had plenty of fireworks without a ton of the big names. Bryson was in it till the end, but it was the young guns Matt Wolff and Colin Morakawa that dueled till the end. Wolff made the long eagle on 18 to win his first tournament in only his 4th try. It was great to see and we get the young guns once again this week at the John Deere Classic. Rob had the biggest week last week with Hideki’s strong finish. Bubba and Jesse both had ok weeks while Kevin’s shot with Brooks didn’t quite pan out. Let’s see who the guys like this week with the 2019 John Deere Classic PGA OAD Picks.
|Last WK $||$13,440||$179,733||$49,105||$49,105|
|Last WK PK||Koepka||Hideki||Reed||Niemann|
|This WK PK||Hovland||Harman|
Bubba (@bdentrek) – Brian Harman
Harman is coming in with good form. Making 2 of his last 3 cuts and in those 2 finishing 7th and 8th. He’s made 4 of 6 cuts here at the JDC including a T10, 24th and a WIN in 3 of his last 4 trips to the JDC. He’s got the approach game that can pepper greens and if the putter is working could join the birdie fest. Give me Harman this week as we get ready to head across the pond for the British Open.
Jesse (@DFSGolfGods) – Viktor Hovland
For the John Deere Classic I will be using Viktor Hovland as my OAD. I’m hoping he uses Wolff’s win last week as motivation to put 4 solid rounds together. If you are still in any pools I think this is a great week to take a long shot who is in bad form coming in. Good luck!
